About The Site & LayoutsThe idea of Sailor Christmas came about after an online friend jokingly commented on a Super Sailor Jupiter picture that I had altered and had mentioned that it might look like a Sailor Christmas. After altering it some more and making a profile, Sailor Christmas was born. Sailor Christmas dot Com was started in mid to late 1999 and was originally hosted on VirtualAve.net. This site was given the name of Sailor Christmas dot Com because at the time, Domain Zero offered free domain names if the person would put up with junk-mail/spam and since I was willing to put up with it, I had registered the domain of sailorchristmas.com. But then, Domain Zero got bought up by some other company and decided to start charging on renewals and new domain names. Since they didn't accept checks and I didn't (and still don't) have a credit card, the domain name expired. However I decided to keep the name of the site because I had gotten too attached to the name to rename the whole site (and the fact that SCdC seemed so catchy). Then Virtual Ave had some problems of their own, so I transferred SCdC over to tripod. I also started using Dot.nu as a redirect URL (http://sailorchristmas.dot.nu/) for a while. And as one might have guessed it, it had some problems too, so I took up a CJB redirect URL (http://sailorchristmas.cjb.net/). Not long after the Dot.nu problem happened, it started working correctly again. So then two redirect URLs reached this site, though I generally used the CJB one more often. Unfortunatly, Dot.nu's redirect URLs started acting up and would no longer redirect to SCdC or any other of the redirect URLs that I was aware of. Which left the CJB.net's redirect URL. And since as of late April 2004, I have my old domain again, thanks to my (virtual) sister. And since I hadn't touched CJB's site for a while, that redirect URL apparently disappeared as well. Since then, SCdC had gone through many site servers/hosts since many of them were flops (and I couldn't/still can't afford a host like Dreamhost). The last site host that SCdC was on was Qoozz, which was going fine for a few years, until stuff happened and no word from the admin (I even gave them the benefit of two weeks) caused me to move the bulk of it all elsewhere. The Current LayoutThe images of Sailor Christmas, Sailor Halloween, Sailor Easter and Sailor Independence were made from scratch by myself with the poses based on super deformed images of Sailor Jupiter, Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Venus (respectively in order) that I had obtained in a picture of from the back base board of a Sailor Moon R sticker play set. The Easter egg from Sailor Easter's layout, The reindeer and background image from Sailor Christmas' layout, the background images from Sailor Halloween's layout & Sailor Independence's layout were edited from images obtained from FreeTubes.com. The layouts were uploaded in October 2008. Older Layouts
This layout's been up for nearly two years between November 2006 and October 2008. I edited a layout template that was designed by Six Shooter Media. I used a transformation Blank by Savvy and a coloring blank gotten from Celestrial Aspect. I'm pretty sure that there was a layout or two between the first layout and this one, but for the life of me, I have no memory of what they were and due to circumstances beyond my control, I have no thumbnails or information about them.
This was the first layout that I made for the site. I used the picture that I originally edited to make the first ever picture of Sailor Christmas as the upper left corner picture. I also had variations for Sailor Halloween and Sailor Easter, but only used the variations for their 'sections' (namely their respective profiles and gallery sections). Unfortunately I had lost the other two layouts long before I could make a thumbnail of them (and I'm only extremely lucky that Archive.org made a partial archive of the main layout back then). |
